For the first time in the history of the Night of the Museums event, the most beloved sport in the country is close to Romanians through the Football Museum. Certified by the Ministry of Culture, the first football museum in Romania will be opened on the night of Saturday, May 13, until Sunday, May 14, where you can discover special collections dedicated to the great players of the Planet, from Maradona and Ronaldo, to Hagi and Gica Popescu!
In the Old Center of Bucharest, on Gabroveni 24, the most famous Romanian clubs are represented with their history and stories, and football is open to children and young people with special exhibits in the Football Museum.
“The Night of the Museums team is very excited about the premiere presence at the Night of the Museums of the Football Museum in Bucharest. We are especially happy because we are talking about a museum with an interesting and modern curatorial thinking, but also because we can’t wait to see objects and equipment belonging to football teams that we grew up with and that we continue to support, with nerves, energy, joy, disappointment, hope.” said representatives of the Night of the Museums 2023 event.
The Football Museum has a special program for the Night of the Museums, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., exactly when the world’s hottest football matches are being played, including overtime!
The ticket costs only 20 lei, but the magic of football legends experienced at midnight is priceless! On the occasion of this event, visitors will be able to visit the Romanian Room, Experience Room, International Room and Interactive Room.
Tickets are available online or in the Museum shop.
